AAO's community programs focus on the youth of our community. The following are some examples of how Razorbacks are helping kids:

AAO works with team schedules to provide opportunities for Razorback teams to impact youth in the community. We have taken teams to tutor in the schools, to have discussions at Vista Health, to visit Children's Hospital, to box up food, to serve hot meals, to interact with underprivileged children, and to provide sports clinics. In these outreaches, the kids and the athletes are touched in a special way.

AAO works in conjunction with local schools to provide mentors for children with special needs. These athletes give time each week to meet with one or two students to encourage them or help them with their schoolwork.

Several current and former athletes volunteer their time to be a part of the AAO Speakers Bureau. These athletes are trained and then sent out to speak to schools, churches, FCA groups, and other civic organizations. Some of these athletes have also accepted a special assignment to be a part of an Abstinence Training Program in the local schools
