Responsibility:
knowing and accomplishing what is expected of me.

Action Statements:

  • I will make sure I understand what is expected of me.
  • I will write down what I need to do.
  • I will fulfill my obligations.
  • I will complete my tasks and assignments on time.
  • I will accept the consequences for my actions.

Why is RESPONSIBILITY important?

1.  Isn’t it frustrating when someone tells you they are going to do something and then they don’t do it?
2.  Does it bother you when people are late all the time?
3.  Does it affect your grades when you forget an assignment or turn it in late?

These things can be very frustrating for yourself and others! Being responsible can help prevent these frustrations. Just work on following the action statements listed above. We all have moments of being irresponsible, but people of good character will admit when they mess up. They will take responsibility for their actions. This will make you a trustworthy person, so do whatever it takes to become responsible!
